Golf Rules
-
Self-officiating: You are responsible for applying your own penalties.
-
14 Clubs maximum.
-
Tee box – Honor’s rule. Best score from last hole goes first.
-
Player farthest from hole always goes first until hole out.
-
Out of bound or possible out of bound – Hit a provisional ball as 3rd shot if it's from the tee box. After tee box, any other out of bound ball, the player must drop a new ball and re-hit from the original ball location with 1 stroke penalty.
-
If player thinks that ball may be lost or out of bound but not 100% sure, the player can hit a provisional ball as with 1 stroke penalty. If the first ball is found and in play, then play as is, no penalty.
-
Penalty Areas – 2 club length from the entrance – cannot be closer to the hole or better lie. 1 stroke penalty. You may ground your club and move loose impediments.
-
Bunkers – no grounding of clubs or moving loose impediments – play as it lies.
-
Unplayable lie – 2 club lengths/back on the line relief – cannot be closer to the hole or better lie. 1 stroke penalty.
-
Lost ball in play – 2 stroke penalty and drop where ball was lost (stroke and distance). In case you find the original ball after you hit the ball with penalty, you cannot hit your original ball as the original ball is not in play any longer. (Unless someone picked up the ball – no penalty – must be 100% sure agreed by all players)
-
Winter Rules – allow you to lift, clean and place your ball six inches of where it has come to rest but only on "closed mown areas" (fairways and fringe) and includes bare areas in fairways. Please mark your ball before picking up – NOT APPLICABLE in 2024
-
If the ball lands on a fairway divot, you are allowed to lift and replace within 6 inches not close to the hole. Must confirm with the playing partners before picking up the ball.
-
Cannot change the ball during the play of the hole unless you believe there is a cut/crack or damage. Must let other players know and identify the ball.
-
Free relief from cart path and any man-made obstruction within the course not closer to the hole within 1 club length.
-
If the ball is lying near the fences on out of bound areas, this is not considerate obstruction within the course. Take 1 stroke penalty and 2 club lengths from OB fence not closer to the pin. Cannot hit the ball from OB area.
-
No gimmies. If a player picks the ball, 1 stroke penalty and replace the ball and putt.
-
Scoring – Gross: example – Double bogey on par 4 write score as: 6
-
Maximum score: Double par plus 1.
-
Any other scenarios beyond above rules: All players must agree with the decision made by the players.
